Project Reflection For the past four months my senior classmates and I have been tackling some very interesting content about United States Senate. This all began in the beginning of the year where our teachers had us learn about the different ways a bill is passed in senate. Later on in the semester my classmates and I broke up into three different committee’s which were based around Climate Change, Immigration and College Debt. Around this time as well we were given senators that we would be writing legislation on. My senator for this project is a Republican named Ayotte, Kelly she was the senator of New Hampshire until this year when she was voted out of office. Ayotte, Kelly was the first to admit on the Republican side that Climate Change is a problem and that Humans are contributing to it. Because of this I had wrote my legislation with a Democrat making our bill by partisan. Although we didn’t make the cut for our bill to make it to senate we did an amazing job and I think it was well written. Later we broke into our committee’s and decided what should happen to the bill the Majority and Minority leader’s picked. Sadly our climate change bill didn’t pass. Leaving our two other committee bills to be discussed at exhibition. This maybe a very tedious process at some points but I actually really enjoyed this. It was really funny at points and was an amazing experience.
