Honey will you Bee mineHoney bee Reflection
Honey bees are important because we rely on them for pollination. The pollination helps with growing our fruit and vegetables. Without the honey bees, I wouldn't have apples. The majority of our breakfast food has something to do with honey bees. Our food supply would plummet and the majority of our food would be imported. Food that is imported will also cost a fortune. Once the food is gone we will be limited in on what we can eat. The focus of my project was to show what different honey bee jobs there are. I also made a little honey bee origami for kids to take home. I learned that all the worker honey bees are female. They also have different jobs depending on how long they have lived for. Also, male bees are referred to as droids. The males have sexy fun time with the queen and then they die. I made an info graph although it wasn't very good. I also made little origami bees which I thought were cute but not a lot of people showed up to make them. I like the little origami honey bees I thought they were a cute idea and that the kids could customize them to what they wanted. I wish I spent more time on this. I love the ideas but they didn't work out right- all of them where pretty bad. The origami honey bees had no benefit. The poster didn't print nor was it on the slide. It was sitting on my small computer. The poster also was difficult to read and to understand. Dissection ProjectDissection Reflection
For my dissection project I did a shark. The shark was cool to me only because they live in the ocean and were different because they’re not mammals. The shark sparked my interest. I love the ocean creatures and I was always curious as to what they looked like. The gills are pink on the inside and the shark has a small stomach. The shark also dies on impact if it hits its head. Also, I learned the difference between the male shark and female shark. The shark was also pregnant with makes me sad. I kinda wish I would have done something else so that the shark could have lived. I still don’t like throats--they still scare me and freak me out. I also learned that I am not one for dissection-- I don’t like dissection. It freaks me out. I felt really bad because as much as I tried to work on the shark, it still made me scared. It was fun doing the packet though. I learned a lot through that packet more than the shark. |
